Epilogue

Kai sank his aching cock into Belle’s tight heat with her lips sealed to his, her back against the wall. Party or no party, he couldn’t take it anymore. The things this woman thought were acceptable attire for human parties made him crazy with need. At least, if this one was any indication.

Belle moaned into his kiss, her legs tight around his hips as she rocked against him. The already tiny skirt she wore was pushed up to her waist, and he cupped her ass with one of his hands, guiding her movement. His other hand went beneath the hem of her shirt and pulled a breast free of her bra, kneading it roughly. She dug her nails into his scalp and shoulder blades as she fought to move, rocking and grinding against him as he thrust into her.

It was nice to know she was as hot as he was tonight. They hadn’t seen each other since the day before, and it’d damn near killed him.

She ground her hips down hard as he surged into her again and he exploded the moment her climax hit. One clench around his cock was all it took. Belle screamed into his mouth before the kiss broke, both of them gasping for breath.

“Oh, God, Kai,” Belle gasped, loosening her arms around his neck as she slowly floated back down. “That was almost worth missing you today.”

Kai hummed and pressed light kisses to her shoulder and throat. “Almost, maybe,” he said. “But I’m not near done with you.”

Belle lightly smacked his head. “You’re going to have to be. We can’t ditch Gwen’s birthday party.”

This time he groaned and let his head drop to her shoulder. “I’m sure she’ll survive the night,” he said. Gwen had only been scanned by Belle and two other angel healers since they’d declared their mission a success. No signs of the curse.

“Maybe I want cake,” Belle teased. “
You
want cake.”

Kai arched a brow at this and leaned back, still not bothering to remove himself from her. “I do?”

Belle’s grin turned into a knowing smile. “You should acquire a taste for it if you want to have an opinion on our wedding cake.”

Well, shit.
He had been the one to insist on being included in the plans. He would have been fine with a quick wedding but Belle wanted, and deserved, a real celebration. So they were going to go all out. Including cake, which wasn’t something he or any angel ate on a regular basis.

Sighing in defeat, Kai stepped back and helped her readjust her clothing before doing the same for his pants. “Fine, we’ll stay for cake. But then it’s home and bed, no complaints.”

Belle dropped a kiss on his cheek. “Deal.”
