“Upon my departure from Germany through Operation Paperclip, I secured the fossil and brought it with me to America, where it was immediately confiscated by the US military. After several years of jumping through hoops to prove my loyalty and worth to my new country, the US military assigned me to the GroomLake facility in 1961. August of that year I was finally ordered to analyze the fossil that had recently been delivered to the facility. Although the technology had improved over the last couple of decades, it was still inadequate to perform the necessary genetic testing.

“Eventually, I decided to secretly take it to the Zealieon Sanctuary. By that time the sanctuary was already in close proximity and there was much less risk. Sixty years ago we learned the true age and origin of the cranial fragment.”

“You called them benevolent Progenitors, right?”

“On Torahnoss, long ago our scientists discovered that our race was the product of a genetic mutation purposely introduced on our planet approximately six million years ago. The research I have performed for the last sixty years has revealed what I believe to be the origin of intelligent life throughout our entire galaxy. However, the race that we refer to as the Progenitors is not from our galaxy, our universe, or even our dimension...” Hauer stopped to rest his throat and noticed Leroux forming wrinkles in her forehead. He continued, “I realize you must have a head full of questions about them, but we will have plenty of time to discuss that topic later.”

“Our research determined that the being to whom the fragment belonged had the ability to transdimensionally phase. Well beyond fully developed HARs, this being had already reached the highest potential evolution of our existence almost six million years ago. Once the segments of the DNA that enabled this ability were identified and isolated, I extracted and synthesized several dozen samples over the decades.

“In 2015, the genetics research division at Groom Lake was transferred here to Dugway and I transferred with it. That was when I began the actual cloning projects that formed the precursors to the GEO Project. The military was under the perception that my work utilized the recovered remains of a Grey alien to genetically enhance cognitive abilities. The true nature of my work was to discover a way to successfully recombine the isolated DNA segments from the fossil with a host that was itself enhanced.

“I conducted many projects before everything changed in late 2028 when General Bracken became provisional commander of the facility as a result of General Walker’s death in Texas. Bracken was originally assigned to Dugway back in 2021 as a colonel but quickly rose to be General Walker’s right hand man as they say. A few months after Walker died and Bracken took command, the newly formed C7 initiated the GEO Project predicated on my prior research. It was at that time that I first noticed General Bracken’s suspicions surrounding my work. He secretly had the cranial fragment taken to your lab for further study without the C7’s knowledge or consent.

“Well that explains so much,” Leroux admitted.

“We recognized that the Ansharians were taking a new tact after the war. It was only a matter of time before their transnational corporations infiltrated the military industrial complex. The decision was made that I would remain here at Dugway and keep an eye on everything. At the same time, I would utilize the military’s significant resources to progress our own mission while making sure the GEO Project produced nothing of use to the C7.

“Maybe I’m missing something here, but why did you need to create the clone?”

“Taon holds the key to our survival for a couple of reasons. First his abilities are necessary to help activate a vortex that will ultimately enable the arrival of our fleet. But even more importantly, Taon will eventually have the ability to communicate with and travel to the Progenitors directly.”

“What happens then?”

“Indeed…what happens then is the question,”

Well Dr.
Hauer…”

“Gideon.”

“What?”

“You can call me Gideon.”

“Oh. Well Gideon what is it we are supposed to be working on now?” the young doctor asked. Leroux’s anxiety level had steadily risen since leaving Sacramento and she was ready to get busy working off her nervous energy.

CHAPTER 09
Zealieon Santuary

T
he hustle of activity at the sanctuary surprised Mykah and Ben as they walked behind Cadan and Simeon through the busy corridors back to the bridge. Everyone had been able to shower, groom and change into clean clothes that matched Akilan’s white and grey jumpsuit.

“How old is she?” Ben asked.

“The Zealieon was brand new when she arrived at Earth 16,000 years ago with her sister ship the Hezron. Its total crew compliment was 276 with 744 passengers. It has been used for many different purposes over the millennia, but most of her time has been spent in concealment and protection after the Hezron was destroyed back in 6000 BC,” Cadan explained.

“How was the Hezron destroyed,” Mykah chimed in.

“On their third trip to Earth 8,000 years ago, the Ansharians had brought their largest fleet yet. It was decided to risk only one of our destroyers in a confrontation and the Hezron was chosen to meet the Ansharian fleet when it arrived through the wormhole. It destroyed their main battle cruiser and all but one of their frigates before a secondary wave of twelve cargo ships arrived. Their combined attack on the Hezron ended with the Torahnossian destroyer breaking apart in the planet’s upper atmosphere.

“The Ansharian fleet commander Anutori was able to escape death by fleeing his exploding cruiser and flying to the planet in a transport ship,” Cadan added.

“How did the Zealieon end up here?” Ben asked.

“The Zealieon came to rest at this location about 550 years ago after its last battle with the sole remaining Ansharian frigate that had engaged the Hezron millennia earlier. Over Central America, the Torahnossians defeated the last large Ansharian ship that presented any major threat, but the destroyer did not come out unscathed. The damaged anti-matter power core was only able to reach a twenty percent output and the decision was made to transform it into a stationary land base here at this location.

“This 762 foot long vessel has become the current home for over 970 direct Torahnossian descendants from the original crew of engineers and officers. After thousands of years of maintenance, this particular generation’s task to keep the ship operable has ben the most difficult yet. The areas immediately surrounding the ship here in the base of the mountain have been excavated to provide additional storage and housing along with food and energy production---”

“We are here,” Simeon interjected.

Once they reached the bridge, Cadan led them down to the glowing round table in the center. Akilan was already seated, slowly pulling his attention away from the wall viewer that was still displaying an orbital view of the Kadingir wormhole coordinates.

Taon, who was assisted by the senior medical officer, sat down next to Akilan. In the short time she had spent with him, Alana had already developed a healthy affinity toward her new patient. Simeon, Mykah and Ben followed suit with only Cadan remaining on his feet.

“The time of the Ansharian return is upon us,” Akilan declared after waiting for the medical officer to exit the room. “We have successfully completed the first phase of our counter offensive and the necessary elements are now in place for us to proceed to the next step. Taon, you are a genetic clone derived from a pure blood line of extraterrestrials known as the Torahnossians. You were endowed with certain abilities that will be required for us to prevail over the force that threatens complete domination of this planet and system. Your maturation cycle was not yet fully complete when you escaped the Dugway facility. That is why you mentioned to Cadan that you felt like you had gaps in your memory. The fact is your memory was the last coding that Gideon, the man you know as Dr. Hauer, had left to complete before you were fully mature.

“Simeon, Cadan, and Gideon are all direct descendants of the first Torahnossians that arrived on the planet. Mykah is also partially Torahnossian, a fact that she learned just earlier tonight. Taon, once I complete your coding, you will have a complete knowledge of the 16,000 year history of our people on Earth. In the meantime, after this briefing you, Ben and Mykah can review our historical files as time permits.

“For now you simply need to understand that intelligent life on all of our worlds was benevolently manipulated by a group we call the Progenitors. Reestablishing contact with them will be our ultimate goal, but we must first defend this planet from an incoming Ansharian fleet that will be arriving within hours through a wormhole. This task will require us to enable our fleet to reach Earth – an event that cannot be initiated for a few more days.” Akilan concluded.

Mykah could not help herself and asked, “Why?”

Cadan stood and walked over to a star chart displayed on the main wall viewer. He touched the data pad in his left hand and a section of space was enlarged. As he pointed to the Torahnossian reconnaissance data, he answered, “Because, we are not able to use the wormhole in our sector of the galaxy. The other side of the Kadingir wormhole resides in an area that represents the Ansharians’ last stronghold in our sector.”

A close up image of a spaceport replaced the star map and Cadan continued, “We were able to get the Zealieon and Hezron through the wormhole 16,000 years ago because the Ansharians had not yet taken full control of these spatial coordinates. Subsequently, the Ansharians have established several defensive stations and an immense space port with a high capacity construction shipyard surrounding the coordinates. When the wormhole reappeared in 6,000 BC we were unable to get any of our ships through.” Cadan paused and looked over directly at Mykah with his infectious grin stamped wide.

“And we cannot just hyper drive in with the Millennium Falcon,” Cadan kidded his cousin, a known Star Wars fanatic.

“Torahnoss is a tad over twenty-seven trillion miles from Earth. Our top speed is 1.2 million of your units measured as miles per hour. Even if we could maintain that speed through the entire journey it would take a minimum of over 2,572 years to reach Earth. And since it is not feasible to assume we could maintain top speed the entire trip, a better estimate is in the neighborhood of 6,000 years,” Cadan precisely explained.

“So how are you gonna get the fleet here?” Mykah followed.

“We are planning to use a method that the Ansharians first attempted over a dozen millennia ago. On their first expedition through the wormhole 24,000 years ago, their small squadron of scout ships included a science vessel that identified and mapped Earth’s geo-energy grid system,” Cadan walked back over to the table, looked down to press a control panel and activated a hologram. Floating above the glowing holo-table, a large model of the Earth appeared with an overlay of an icosa-dodecahedron grid.

“Simeon, you can do the honors,” Cadan deferred, remaining on his feet with his arms crossed.

Leaning forward in his chair, Simeon pressed a separate control panel that highlighted certain vortices on the grid. Resting his elbows on the holo-table and clasping his hands together, Simeon began, “The grid consists of a series of major vortices interconnected by the aspect lines of Earth’s crystalline core. Mykah this is what your people and other Native American tribes call ‘Spider Woman.’ During the billions of years of your planet’s formation, the temperature-pressure extremes of the inner core caused a coalescence of volcanic matter into a mass of hexagonal close-packed iron that settled into what has eventually become a 1,500 mile wide crystal core. The crystal edges and vortices carry most of the thermal and electromagnetic energy developing from within the Earth and ‘vent’ the energy at the points along this icosa-dodecahedron grid.”

Simeon used his hands to push himself to his feet and walked over to where Akilan was seated. He gave a slight nod to the old man and a portion of the table opened with the resonator emerging, sitting atop its diamond base.

“This device is one of two ‘resonators’ that were brought to Earth by the Ansharians – the first one in 14,000 BC and the second with their failed expedition in 6,000 BC. The resonators were designed to collect, tune and focus the energy throughout the planetary grid. The first resonator was destroyed in 10,500 BC with the destruction of Atlantis near Bimini.

“The Ansharians were attempting to create a spatial vortex - an induced wormhole if you will - that would allow their ships instant access to Earth from our sector of the galaxy. In the process of their first Earth attempt, the main Ansharian planetary command base was destroyed along with their resonator and the only remaining anti- matter core; an event that greatly reduced their influence over the planet for a significant period of time.”

“Why didn’t they just make another resonator?” Mykah asked with her curiosity preventing her from remaining silent.

“About 18,000 years ago in the Saloumir system, the closest system to Ventori-Soiala, the Ansharians discovered a small, uninhabited, purely crystalline planet. The ‘Vestrium’ crystal from this planet maintained the highest frequency ever discovered by either of our planets’ scientists. When the Ansharians initiated a mining operation on the surface, their careless approach caused a harmonic quake which destroyed the planet. They had severely underestimated the volatility of the Vestrium and eventually only recovered a few sizable crystal shards from the sea of blue dust that was once a planet.

“The crystal is extremely difficult to handle properly and even more difficult to cut. A properly cut Vestrium crystal that correlates with the shape of a planet’s crystalline core can resonate power from its geo-electromagnetic energy grid. The Ansharians learned the necessity of a properly cut crystal after their very first attempt to utilize a planetary grid on Sapata, also in the Ventori-Soiala system. That time they did not technically destroy the whole planet but the maligned crystal resonator burned away the atmosphere and killed nearly the entire population.
