Bodie stared. Hard. That was. Oh. “You been busy.”

“I have.” She pinked for him, looking a little worried.

Easing the thong all the way off, Bodie stroked her skin, amazed at the softness of it. “I like it, honey.”

She spread and he could see her flushed, bare skin, the hint of wetness proving that she wanted him. God, she was something. Bodie touched her, his fingers sliding against her pussy, the heat there almost shocking.

Her legs parted for him, just like her pretty pink lips did. “Cowboy, you have the best hands.”

“You feel like fire, honey. I could just touch you forever.” He slipped one finger inside her, bending to kiss her hard. She opened up, her nails digging into his shoulders. Little wildcat. He needed more, so he rocked closer, just wanting to cover her with his body and go to town.

He pushed deeper, and Addie groaned, one leg pulling up.

“Were you thinking about me on the way over, honey?” She was so ready for him, so perfect.

“Mmm. I was doing quadratic equations.” Little tease.

“Stacked and smart. How did I get so lucky?” Condoms. He’d bought more at the store. Had he been smart enough to stash them in the bedroom?

She laughed, rolled under him and took him in deeper. “Oh, damn. Damn, Bodie.”

“Mmm hmm. I need a rubber, but damn, I don’t want to let go.” She didn’t seem to mind the commentary, and he couldn’t seem to stop babbling, so he guessed it worked.

Addie’s low moan as he added another finger, started nudging her clit with his thumb, told him she wasn’t in the place for him to run out to the front room and dig through Wal-Mart bags. Not yet.

No, she needed him right there, and Bodie wasn’t one to leave a lady hanging. He worked her with his hand, his mouth on her skin, his lips sliding down her throat. She smelled like flowers, left the barest hint of salt on his tongue. He followed the curve of her breast, mouth hungry for the taste of her pink, stiff nipples.

She shook for him when he licked at one, so he wrapped his lips around it and sucked. She was like ripe strawberries. God, that was such a cliché, but it was true.

“Bodie! Cowboy, please!” She arched her back, nipple pushing deeper. He’d never met a girl that wanted so good. She wasn’t skanky; not at all. Addie was just as sensual a woman as ever was. She felt things all the way.

He gave her more, licking this way and that, pushing with his tongue while his fingers worked her over.

She shivered for him, thighs shaking as she came, calling out his name.

“Oh, honey.”

Addie flushed a delicious rose color from her cheeks to her belly ring, and he kissed her while she shook, loving on her.

“Wow.” She licked at his lips, panting softly. “Wow, cowboy. Good ride.”

“You’re on fire today, honey.” He eased away, his everything aching. “I’m gonna be crass and go get the condoms I left in the other room.”

“Hurry back.” She sat up a little on one elbow, giving him all that pale skin to admire.

He stared at her a moment, from her creamy, perfect breasts to her slick folds, still exposed, before practically running to the front room. He was so ready he was afraid he’d pop just from the friction of his jeans.

The rubbers were where he could find them, and he started unfastening his jeans on the way back, wanting nothing more than to bury himself in Addie’s sweet body. Bodie skinned his jeans down by the bedroom door, hopping to pull off his boots all the way to the bed.

Soft laughter met him, Addie clapping. “Beautiful.”

How did that not sound mean? Mocking? It didn’t, even if he felt like he was doing the bunny hop instead of a sexy bump and grind. He grinned. “Thanks, honey. Shall I strike a pose?”

Her arms opened wide. “Over here.”

“Hey, you.” He came down on her, his legs tangling with hers. “So pretty.”

“And you’re a lady’s wet dream.” She pushed right against him, every inch of her.

“Thank you.” He meant it, too. That kind of honesty was a huge ego booster for a man. So was her enthusiasm. He dug a condom out of the now-squashed box.

Her fingers dragged along his prick, tugging the sensitive skin. He drew in a deep breath, his body jerking. “Careful now.”

“Mmm. I promise.” She cupped his balls, hands warm, so soft. She was gentle, but firm, rolling them a little, pulling down just enough to give him some control back.

He rolled the condom on, looked over at her, grinning as she drew him right where he wanted to be. Bodie settled between her thighs, his cock pushing against her slit, his chest heaving as he tried to breathe.

“You’re okay.” She leaned up, kissed him, slow and lazy, easy, even as her heat surrounded him.

He was. Well, he was so much better than okay. Still, he was able to relax a little, start moving with her like he wanted to. Her sweet body shifted, moved under him, slid and held his cock, so perfect. He loved the way they fit, the way she felt small and delicate when he held her, but how strong she was when he was in her.

“Mmm. Just like that.” Her hands traced his skin, his chest, his belly.

All he had to do was brace himself on his hands and move his hips. That and kiss her like he was starving.

She met each and every thrust, rocking into him, moaning into their kisses. She didn’t seem to care that he needed to shave, or that he smelled like he’d been loading feed. Addie just wrapped around him and hung on.

Addie squeezed her legs together, cunt gripping his cock.

His head snapped up, and Bodie stared at her, his hips slapping her skin. “Christ, woman.”

“You like that.”

“A dead man would like that.” He might just die. Really. Happy.

“No zombie sex.”

Fuck, she made him laugh. Even during sex. He’d never known anyone like her. Addie grinned, winked at him, then squeezed again.

His whole body jerked, his eyes trying to roll back in his head. This was never going to last, not the way she was going. Bodie grabbed her close and shifted to his back, turning the tables on her by sinking much deeper.

“Oh!” She braced herself on his chest, gasped. Hell, yes. Look at that woman.

Bodie grinned. “Now that’s something else, honey.”

“Uh-huh. Something. Damn.” Her head fell back, throat working. Her breasts pushed up, bouncing, and he hummed, leaning up to capture her right nipple between his lips.

He loved feeling what that did to her, feeling her body ripple around him. It made him feel tall as mountains, making her happy, hearing that moan. One of her hands supported him and she rocked, her butt smacking on his thighs. The tiny sounds were the most erotic thing he’d ever heard. Bodie moaned against her skin, using his teeth just a little. Her fingers dug into his hair, nails stinging as her body fluttered around him. Hell, yes. Bodie started moving again, hips driving up, pulling her down with his hands. Hot and wet, she moved on him, surrounding him in silk. It was like the best kind of dream, the type a man never wanted to wake from.

“Bodie.” She whispered his name, gasped and then came again, shaking around him.

“Oh, fuck, honey.” He lost it, his hips smacking her ass again when he came, gritting his teeth on a shout.

Her lips were on his jaw, her breath soft and warm. Bodie turned his head, catching her mouth in a kiss, wanting her to know he was damned happy.

“Mmm. That was one hell of an appetizer.”

He patted her butt, just feeling good in his bones. “Hell, yeah. Dinner ought to be amazing.”

“And there’s always dessert.”

He grinned at her, stroking a curl of hair off his face. “I can’t wait.”

Chapter Four

“So, rumor is you’re seeing Bodie Reaver.” Terrie, the pretty girl doing her pedicure looked up from the little stool. “You know he’s bad luck, right?”

Addie rolled her eyes, then looked at Maddie. “You aren’t serious. The man is a stud.”

And he went down on her.

Shit, he played fucking Scrabble, could cook a medium steak, and two-stepped. Not only that, but he let her take pictures of him—riding, working, showering. Addie was in love.

“Oh, he is. For sure. I mean, I get an eyeful every time he comes to town.” Terrie giggled a little, then sobered. “Still, he’s killed two fiancées.”

“Right. If the rumors are true, one had cancer and the other died in an accident.” Addie rolled her eyes. “What? He didn’t feed her enough antioxidants? Cut the other’s brake lines?”

“Well, maybe he didn’t do them in by hand, but he’s just a black widower.”

Oh, she’d explored almost every single inch of that fine, fine body. There wasn’t a bit of spider in his amazing form. Bodie did have black hair. And he was a little fuzzy in some places, sure, but he was all man. Hot, funny, hard-working man.

“Terrie, stop gossiping.” The shop owner, Nina, came by. “You need a water, honey?”

“That would be great, thanks.” It felt mean, but good, having Terrie get bitched at. Nobody said nasty things about her man, after all.

Her man. Huh.

Maddie looked over at her, eyebrow arched, and Addie felt her cheeks heating. “What?”

“You’re thinking loud, is all.”

“Yeah.” Bodie made her stupid. “What color are you getting again?”

“Purple. I think, Maybe turquoise.” Maddie always changed her mind a bazillion times.

“I’m going hot pink.” It would look amazing with her new black bikini.

“Goes with your thong.”

Maddie would mention that.

She flipped Maddie off. “Classless whore.”

Maddie’s eyes—which looked just like Dad Brandt’s and always made Addie smile—just twinkled. “Pot.”

Addie stuck her tongue out. “Kettle.”

“You sure can tell y’all are sisters when you talk,” Terrie said, giggling again. “It don’t show in looks at all.”

“You don’t think?” Addie teased. She was only nine inches shorter, sixty pounds lighter, snow white where Maddie was tanned, red-headed where Maddie was blonde. Hell, her eyes were bright blue—which apparently she got from their surrogate, because Daddy Chris’ were green and Maddie’s were Dad Brandt’s chocolate brown.

“No, ma’am. I mean, it would be weird enough if you weren’t twins, but—”

Maddie snorted. “So now she’s a freak of nature as well as dating the local lady killer? Terrie, your tip is going farther to hell every second. Quit being a fucking bitch and just do your goddamn job. Christ.”

“Well, I never!” Terrie gasped and stood, going to the sink to wash her tools.

“Delicate flower of womanhood.”

“Fuck off, bitch.” Maddie winked at her, grinning like a monkey. Addie grabbed her phone, shot a picture of it.

“Love you, too.”

Maddie’s nail tech, Kyla, who had known them forever, at least since middle school, snorted. “You have five minutes to pick your color, Mad.”

“She wants purple. Bright purple.”

“Oh, I like it.” Maddie nodded, looking happy as a pig in shit.

“Dork. You want to go get pizza after this?”

Maddie shrugged. “If we can get back in time for feeding, sure.”

Such a Daddy’s girl. “Suck up.” She winked. Hay was so…itchy.

“Prima donna.” They looked at each other, and then they cracked up.

“Pizza sounds good, unless you would rather see your boyfriend,” Maddie said.

“He’s working.”

Kyla grinned. “So he’s like a boyfriend-boyfriend now? For real?”

Addie felt her cheeks heating, but yeah. Yeah, she thought he maybe was. They’d seen each other more than twice, right? She knew his favorite color was green, that he was between dogs since his fourteen-year-old border collie, Junie, had passed in April, and he liked pepperoni and mushrooms on pizza. He could cook burgers like a champ, he used Old Spice soap and he loved George Strait music.

He knew she secretly loved purple rhinestones, he’d caught her cutting split ends off her hair and discussed the merits of conditioners with her, and he knew she hated the stringy parts of both bananas and celery. Okay, so he didn’t know much about her job or her degree or whatever, but he knew the important stuff.

He knew how to make her sob, twist with need. Beg.

God, he knew how to do that. She couldn’t believe he was still a single man, no matter what his reputation.

“Addie?”

She blinked, stared at her twin. Shit. “What?”

“Pizza or dick, Sis?”

“Listen to you!” She cracked up. “I’m good enough to have both. Pizza first, then…yummy cowboy.”

“Dessert!” Maddie and Kyla said it together, laughing at her, with her.

“I know, right?” Her phone buzzed and she checked it. Jim. Shit.

“Bodie?” Maddie asked, and she shook her head.

“No. The ex. He’s been texting over and over, trying to get me to call him. Says I have something of his.”

Kyla looked up at her. “Do you?”

“Shit, the bastard threw whatever he was going to let me have out the door. I ended up with half my clothes, my camera bag, my laptop and my makeup case.” Her lips twisted. “For chrissake, he even kept my pig collection.”

Kyla stared. “You had in middle school!”

“I know, right? I don’t have jack shit of his, and I’m not answering his fucking texts. In fact, I think I’ll block his ass.” She looked at Maddie. “I can do that, right?”

“You know it, sister.”

Terrie came back, started painting Addie’s nails, the hot pink shocking, so bright she had to blink to see it. She tried hard not to wiggle her toes, which would ruin the whole deal. They were going to look amazing on Bodie’s sheets.

“You have that silly grin, Sis. You got it bad.”

“He’s worth it.”

“Until you end up twisted in a car or trampled or something,” Terrie intoned seriously.

Addie was going to kick that woman in the face. She made a mental note that when she came back to get her next pedicure, she wanted anyone but Terrie.

Maddie didn’t seem to be willing to wait. In fact, her twin damn near bristled. “Are you wishing ill on her, girl? That’s my baby sister.”

“No! No, I’m just trying to be the voice of reason.” Terrie looked so earnest. “He’s dangerous to girls who get serious.”

“He’s had bad luck!” Superstitious women.

“He sure has. Makes you wonder what he did to deserve it.”
