LAUREL OKE LOGAN is a wife, mother, and writer. Her most recent effort is the novel
Dana's Valley
, coauthored with her mother. The only daughter and youngest of Janette and Edward, Laurel grew up in a small town on the Canadian prairie with her three brothers. This biography of her mother has its origins in the charming little farmhouse that belonged to Laurel's grandparents. In this country home Laurel learned as a child to treasure the heritage, simple values, and family ties that shaped the life of Janette Oke.

Laurel and her mother spent many hours laughing and crying together as they researched their family roots and checked facts for this biography. Laurel and her husband, Marvin, have four children and make their home in Indiana.
