“I think not. I’ve waited too long to spoil her rotten. She is my concern until you are married.”
Skye looked hopelessly from one man to another. “He does have a point Thaddeus. We’ve just met each other and I should give him some time.”
Selfishly, Thaddeus growled, “I have waited far too long to have you, Skye. I don’t intend to give you up to another man. I don’t care if he is like a father to me.”
Skye looked at him deeply. “Thaddeus, what we share will be for a lifetime and you know it as much as I do, but this is my father.” She took Thomas hand. “A man I’ve waited all my life to meet. Please.”
She was the world to him and Thaddeus didn’t want to share her, but this was something she wanted and Thomas wanted to spoil her as much as Thaddeus. He had a feeling Skye was going to wrap two very powerful men around her finger. Resentfully, he nodded.
Thomas sat down beside her. “Why don’t we fly to Florida immediately?” he suggested. “I’ll help prepare for the wedding. You can have it down there at my home.”
She looked at Thaddeus for approval. He nodded again and even smiled seeing how much joy it brought her. “This is the happiest day of my life,” she told them both and threw her arms around her father’s neck. “Thank you.”
“No, thank Thaddeus because it was his hard work, determination, and connections that helped me to find you.”
She turned towards Thaddeus and hugged him kissing his cheek. “Thank you.”
“You’ve said thanks enough when you said yes to marrying me, woman. I am thankful to have you in my life.”
“As am I.” She pressed her sultry lips against his. “You’ve made all my dreams come true, Thaddeus.”
