Jillian was yawned, “Nice Texas sky. Daddy, I think I’m going to head upstairs. It’s been a long day. I have to find Robert. Thought he’d be out here.”
“I think your mother and RJ are sitting at the kitchen table.”
“He’s so pleased.”
Jillian gathered up her boots and called Grets. Her father said, “I’ll bring in the pup. Go on ahead, Honey.”
“Thanks, Daddy.” She gave him a squeeze on his shoulder.
The couple retired to their bedroom. Her father brought the puppy in to them. “I even gave her a quick-wipe off to remove some of the dust.” The puppy jumped up on the bed and claimed her spot. The all laughed when they saw that she had her head on Jillie's pillow, was instantly asleep, and snoring. When they came closer to the bed, she opened one eye and wagged her tail. Robert moved her to the foot of the bed.
The couple knelt beside the bed and said their prayers, giving thanks to the Lord. When Robert and Jillian got into bed, they snuggled down facing each other.
“Well, honey are you ready for this?”
“Most definitely.”
Jillian said sighing, “I’m really beat. It’s been a long day.”
Robert yawned, “You go to sleep. You need your rest.”
“Yes, doctor.”
In almost an instant Robert John Montgomery was asleep. Jillian looked over to her husband, she whispered, “I hope you know how much I love you. Our life’s finally come together.”
She smiled,
“Granny, I guess you and Mother were wrong. Life’s not Dashed Dreams. Life’s Dreams Dashing to become reality.”
