Watch kitten. Open your eyes. Now.” His voice was firm, demanding, and so very sexy. How could she ever dream of denying him anything?

Green eyes stared back into his blue ones then drifted down to watching him pull his hand free from her sex and grip the waist band of her panties, yanking it, snapping the material free from her body and leaving her bare, wet and blushing back at him in the mirror.

My blushing bride. God how I love you babydoll.” His fingers slipped back through her slickness and circled her where she needed it most. This time her eyes didn’t drift except from his eyes to his hand. She was digging her nails in his forearm, breaths coming in soft little pants.

So close, more.” She gasped out, her voice barely above a whisper.

Two thick fingers drove inside of her and her knees buckled but he held her there, steadfast and sure. His strokes deep, rough, fast. Her head pressed to the mirror now, her breath puffing out steamy circles in her reflection.

Now kitten. Let. Go.” His voice was gruff, growling out the command in such a way it rocketed through her and she did just that. With a low, whimpering grunt she shuddered and leaned heavily on the mirror, her hot cheek resting against the cool surface. His hand slipped from between her thighs, and brushed over the curve of her bottom lovingly before she heard the tug of his zipper, and felt the heaviness of his length smack her warm skin.

Yesss……” she hissed, letting go of his arm and using both hands to grab hold of the wardrobe. His hand had reached for the back of her knee and lifted her leg, opening her to him so he could thrust himself inside her tight sheath.

Kitten….mmmine...” He got this way. Utterly possessive when he took her rough like this. It drove her wild. He knew it. Loved it when she was abandoned in the passion that was there’s and there’s alone.

Always…” She answered. Knowing in her heart of hearts this was where she belonged, being completely consumed by the man of her dreams, her knight in shining armor.

His fist was in her hair again, brushing it from her neck so his teeth could find that spot that made her crazy. He licked her there, grunting when she purred, his teeth sinking in and nipping her flesh over and over until she was flying headlong into the space that was only him and her and the love that exploded between them. He followed her. Sinking into oblivion and leaning against her as their bodies trembled in the aftermath. A giggle was the only other thing that was heard, and it came forth when Noah licked her from her shoulder, up her neck to lap at her ear lobe. He was like a big jungle cat tasting his mate with such languish strokes. The only thing her giggle got her was a smack on her bottom and another grunt as he nuzzled her neck.

I love you kitten.”

I love you too Romeo.”

Mmm, this whole deal with ravishing each other when the kids aren’t home is damn near an aphrodisiac isn’t it?” He laughed, pulling from her and taking her hand, leading her to the bathroom.

Something like that.” She was smiling as she followed him back into the shower and draped her arms around him, kissing his chest. “This time, we have to get clean and stay clean or we’re never going to leave the house today Romeo.”

Sounds like a good idea to me baby.”

They hadn’t gotten anything accomplished by the time school was out, but Miki was smiling and feeling thoroughly loved when they drove into town to pick the twins up from the high school and Dakota from college. Noah was humming along to the radio resting his hand on her knee. The warm spring air blowing in the windows smelled like fresh cut grass and honeysuckle. Spring and summer was her favorite time of year. It represented life renewing, blossoming into beautiful things. Now it reminded her of her life with Noah. Each day was like another rose blooming on the vine. Sometimes there were thorns along the way but the beauty and life that came from it all was worth it, so very worth it. Now with them starting their family, even if it was an unconventional way, life just seemed perfect. Everything was falling into place. A firm believer that things happened for a reason, Miki knew the Taylor kids were meant to be a permanent part of their lives. Dominique and Dakota had a lot in common with Noah, and she and Delilah had clicked as well. The sweet girl was a helper. In her young life she had already struggled so much with different life experiences, but she was still such a kind and gentle soul.

When they had been out shopping the day before, Lilah had been more interested in finding people to surprise with paying for their purchase than she had been interested in getting things for herself. When she spotted a young boy tugging on his mother’s hand asking her for a hot dog at the vendor she had overheard the mom telling her son that she was sorry but she didn’t have enough money to buy food there, that he had to wait until they got home. The little boy had tears on his cheeks but he quieted down and walked along with her when she went into a store that sold scrubs for health care professionals. Miki and Lilah had followed her a bit watching to see what she got and were saddened when she got just two pairs of pants and two shirts. The mom was talking to her son quietly.

Honey, Momma just barely has enough for two sets for her new job. You know if I had enough I would get you a hot dog. I’ll make you a grilled cheese sandwich when we get home ok? Momma is trying hard baby, things will get better once we get back on our feet.” The sweet little boy just nodded, lowering his eyes and whispered. “It’s ok Momma. I ain’t really that hungry.” She sighed and rubbed her hand over his head and hugged him to her side. “Such a big boy you are Quinn. Let’s check out, and get home so we can make dinner.”

Lilah and Miki looked at each other with tears in their eyes and both took off following the woman.

Excuse me ma’am….” Lilah bravely called out, smiling when the woman turned around.

Hi. I’m Lilah and this is Mikayla, my Mom. We’d like to help you with your purchase today, if you don’t mind.”

What? I don’t understand.” The woman had her hand on her chest, and her little man hid behind her leg, but he peeked out just barely enough to look at Lilah.

We just want to help some deserving people and we overheard you talking to your son saying you had a new job you needed those scrubs for. Do you mind if I ask where you’re going to be working?” Miki asked, smiling warmly at the young mother.

Regional Retirement Home. I’m an LPN. The doctor office I had been working at the last couple of years closed a few months ago, and jobs have been scarce. Times have been hard but we’ll be ok. I thank you for your kindness Lilah, Mikayla, but I can’t take handouts." She was walking off and Lilah looked crushed because the woman refused their help. Miki wasn’t one to give up easily though.

Ma’am, please wait.”

She turned and sighed, looking worn and maybe even a little defeated. “My name is Joy. Ma’am just makes me feel old.” She laughed a little and Lilah gave her a bright smile.

Joy is a beautiful name. After you get the things you need Ms. Joy would you two have a hot dog and a milkshake with us around the corner? I’m starving! It’s our treat.” When Joy sighed and looked around, tears welling up in her eyes Lilah took her hand. “It would be an honor to help you celebrate your new job. It’s just a hot dog Ms. Joy.”

Miki was about to burst with pride. Lilah had a giving heart. She just blossomed right before her eyes with her gentleness soothing Joy in such a way that she would hopefully not feel shamed but instead, blessed. When Joy nodded, Lilah squeezed her hand and looked at the tag on the scrubs she had. “Mom these are size large. I think these yellow ones over here with the flowers on them are pretty don’t you? Or these pink ones with butterflies? Gosh I didn’t know these came in so many different patterns did you Mom?”

No sugar I didn’t, but I think maybe you should ask Ms. Joy what she likes.” By the time they were done Joy had enough scrubs for her new job to last her a few weeks, and Lilah talked her into getting new comfortable shoes and socks as well. She was a natural. Her soothing personality and obvious loving heart worked miracles on Joy and her sweet little boy Quinn who had followed Lilah all around the store holding her hand. When they went around the corner to the hot dog stand he was all smiles and ate so ravenously it made Miki nearly get teary eyed all over again. This was what her life was meant for. She had grown up with so many different hardships as had Lilah. Now with the blessing she acquired on their wedding day her family could change the lives of so many others with random acts of kindness.

Before they parted ways with Joy, Miki wrote down her cell phone number for Joy and told her to call anytime she needed anything or needed a friend. She slipped her some folded bills and shushed her when she tried to deny it. “Please, I just feel it’s the right thing to do and maybe one day, you’ll come across someone that needs something that you can do to help.” Joy hugged her and thanked them both; Quinn was waving at them as they walked out the door.

Lilah turned to Miki and wiped her eyes. “What’s wrong sugar?” She wiped her cheeks and tugged her to close and hugged the slight girl to her side.

I want to do things like that for the rest of my life. She needed those things so badly but she didn’t want a hand out. I’ve felt that way before and it hurts, it’s hard, but if you receive it with an honest, kind heart, it’s easier to accept help from someone. We’ve had help before, and it made me feel ashamed and awful. I just didn’t want her to feel that way too.”

You’re a good kid Delilah. I hope you realize just how special you are love. I’ve been there too. Poor, hungry, beat down emotionally and physically. No one should have to ever feel that way, nor should anyone have to feel ashamed for accepting help.” She kissed Lilah’s forehead as they started walking “I think, that maybe you and I should start a charity, one that you and I run together. Maybe make a website or something, maybe post an ad in local shelters with an application for people to tell us what they wish for. Then you and I can filter through them and choose people to assist. It could be small wishes or complicated wishes. We’ll do the best we can to help those that truly need it. Would you like to help me set that up this summer?”

Lilah had the most beautiful smile on her face. Her almond shaped brown eyes still dewy with remnants of tears glistened. “You would let me help? Really?”

Of course, look how wonderfully you handled Joy. You didn’t make her feel bad for having a hard time or for knowing her son was hungry. You encouraged her, and made it a happy experience for her and for her son. I think you are a natural. You have a loving and giving heart Lilah, that’s very special.”

You’re off in your own little world there babydoll. Whatcha thinking about?”

Miki looked over at Noah and smiled, reaching out to touch his cheek lovingly. “I was just thinking about yesterday with Lilah, when we got Joy those clothes for her new job. I know we’ve only had the kids a few days, but I’m so attached. They are such good kids, so loving and kindhearted. When we went up to Joy, Lilah introduced me as her Mom. I know it may have just been because she didn’t want to have to explain but still, it melted my heart.”
