Please watch over my newborn (share his or her name). Help him (or her) adjust beautifully and easily into his new life. Let him know how dearly loved he is and that we are happy he is here and that he chose us as parents. Keep him safe and protected, and help me to feel calm and peaceful as I adjust to being a new mother (or father).

Whether you call on Laylah or another of the angels and archangels of protection, know that they are honored to assist you along your journey. They know how vulnerable you feel when fear takes over. Call them by name and know that their role is to protect you and shield you, your children, and your pets from harm.

Ask Archangel Michael to watch over your children when you worry about them or during those times when you cannot be with them. Michael will embrace them with love and safeguard them behind a protective shield. After you call Archangel Michael, notice how you feel. Trust that your children are in God’s protection through the energy embrace of Archangel Michael and are being cared for in the best possible way.

Some people see their pets as their little ones and cherish them as they would cherish their own offspring. Call on Archangel Ariel for protection for your pets. Ariel’s name means “lion or lioness of God.” This archangel is committed to helping heal and protect Mother Nature, which includes all animals. In addition, Ariel serves as protector of the waters, watching over all bodies of water and aquatic life while also safeguarding those who ply the waters or travel upon them—for example, fisherman and sea captains and sailors. Inspire me to always do more than I think I can do and to strive to leave the planet in better shape than I found it.

It is always maddening to lose an object such as your car keys or a piece of jewelry that you took off to wash your hands. Stop to ask yourself: Can anything truly be lost in the mind of God?
